Q: Trying to put in new antenna wire in 2008 Nissan Versa?
I am trying to put a new antenna wire in my 2008 Nissan Versa. We bought it used and someone cut into the stock antenna for a satellite radio. We bought an adapter that goes from the radio to the cluster behind the steering wheel. Does anyone know how to get back there?
A: Wow. Your front antennia lead it runs along the dash board tubing and if it is nissan part it has clips it runs from behind the radio across the dash to the A post next to the windshield where it has a connector that hook to the roof antennia wire. This will require you to remove lower dash panels A post trim and some flash light laying on you back and cutting the old clips off and carefully refasten the new wire along the same routing if possable. Nissan Labor charge might not look so bad. Warranty pays 1.7 hours to replace the antennia feeder cable. Add approx 60% for retail labor or approx 3.0 hours

None of those cars can even be considered average for quality. Japan USED to make good cars but in recent years they got greedy and put profit ahead of quality so their reliability has fallen faster than a shooting star.
Today if you want quality your ONLY choices are American or European.
Q: What can i do to my 2010 Nissan Versa?
I have just recently purchased a 2010 nissan versa and want to improve its performance and its apperance. I am on a low budget and I have a few things on my mind to update. My question is what else should i maybe do, where can i buy the parts, and which are the best parts?
Things on my mind to improve:
Exhaust (whole system not just muffler)
Drop Suspension/lower springs
HID head lights
Fog Lights
A: Well at least you’re not an idiot who wants to stick a widebody kit on a Geo Metro. The things you have in mind are actually subtle add ons for a Versa. All you really need is a nice sounding exhaust (no loud fart cans), a set of lowering springs, and the HIDs and Fogs you were talking about. The car will look good and sound pretty good too. An exhaust wont give a very substantial performance increase, but you really don’t need it. It’s a Versa. It’s not a performance vehicle.
Q: Which car is better for a college graduate the Honda Fit or Nissan Versa?
My daughjter has been persuaded by a boyfriend to consider the Nissan Versa as a better car over the wishes of her parents who are willingly to buy her a HOnda Fit as her graduation present. Let me know…I was not impressed with the information on The Versa but have not driven it although I have driven the Fit..My ego can handfle it if the Versa is really better thann the Fit but from what I read I am not convinced.
A: While I have not looked at either the Fit or the Versa, my preference would be on the Honda for the simple fact that they have a better reputation for quality and resale value. Nissan typically gears their cars more for sport appeal whereas Honda has consistently emphasized quality and durability. In addition, I have owned both a new Nissan and a new Honda. The Honda has been the best car ever owned whereas the Nissan had so many recalls and manufacturing issues that we couldn’t wait to trade it.
Test drive both, but my money would still be on the Honda. Of course, in agreeance with a previous poster, the Civic may be an even better purchase.
Q: Why don’t the Nissan Versa or Honda Fit come with a center console armrest?
I know the Nissan Versa SL comes with a console, if you wanted one for a vehicle without one how would you go about getting one?
A: cost more money, takes up space, makes the interior look smaller pick one.
you can find all kinds of center consoles available from after market companies. they make ones that have everything from refrigerators to gun safes they either just sit on the floor or you can bolt them down.
you can add a subwoofer or just an armrest.

Q: what is the engine life expectancy of a 2008 Nissan versa…Or till how many miles could it last?
I own a 2008 Nissan Versa which I bought with 54,000 miles. Because of my driving habit, I’ve already added 50K miles within a year an half. Also. i maintained it very well with tune ups, engine intakes, oils flush up, and oil change ( Valvoline)… I’m would like a sincere answer and reference from someone who has mechanical knowledge….Thank you
A: The MR family of motors are not very old 2007 and newer in the USA. MR 1.6 MR 1.8 and MR 2.0 dont like dirty motor oil piston rings may stick. I have worked on several 2008 with 189,000 miles and think how did the customer have time to stop and bring the car in? Cars that are taken care of and driven over 50,000 miles a year are mostly driven on motor killing postal/newspaper routes or motor easy long highway drives. Seems that the CVT trans likes lots of stop and go HB Versa with a regular 4 speed auto trans I have not seen many high milage units yet. Manual 6 speed 2007 Versa I serviced the check engine light Charcoal canister vent hose problem had 200,000mi the other day. And original clutch and 2nd set of brakes. I think we will see many Nissan Versa’s wear out people really drive them. After they traded in the Chevy Surburban they are set free and not spending 100’s a month for fuel.

A: Even the cheap-o Versa has two front door speakers and yes you can have a radio installed. But having the proper brackets and necessary knowledge to secure the radio to the dash? But also keep in mind that the cheap Versa also does not have the 1.8 liter motor your stuck with a 1.6 and not very much sound deadening so buy a powerful Stereo. I hope you buy one with Air conditioning? Just how much more can a fully loaded Versa cost each month VS a stripped down version? Always buy the very most car you can afford. It will be nicer to own and easier to sell when that time comes.
Q: Is a Nissan Versa MUCH Smaller than a Chevy Malibu?
Sorry if this seems like a dumb question, I just don’t know much about the sizes of cars – is a 4 door 2009 Nissan Versa a lot smaller than a 2009 Chevy Malibu? I’m renting a car and want to make sure I don’t get one too small to put my 10 month old in for a 13 hour drive.
A: i would say yes, but the correct answer would be HELL YES! even though i am all for foreign cars (besides toyota) the mailbu is your best choice between the two. the versa’s used to be acceptionally roomy. but after spending a week in a 09 (rental for a trip to pa) i would be more comfortable in a solitary jail cell. not to mention the thing is a deathtrap. not completely, but if you are in the back seat you are screwed because your knees will be lodged in your eye sockets. but a malibu will be al lot safer for a baby (safer for anyone really) good luck, malibu is titally your best bet.

A: Basically, it is trying to apeal to women who have big hair and need a car that won’t mess up their hairdo.

Q: how do you adjust headlights on a 2007 nissan versa?
I just got my car out of the body shop…how do I adjust the headlights on a 2007 Nissan Versa? I keep asking the idiots to do it…they are pissing me off…Im going back over there tomorrow and will stand there until its done. I just want to know how to do it.
A: Most car makers don’t want you to mess with the headlights. The body shop should have done this properly for you, but it seems their are not holding up their part. Typically, the adjustment screws are above the headlights and probably visible from above. But they won’t just be normal screws which is to prevent you from taking a screwdriver and turning them. They might look like a hex type screw and you would need a proper adapter to fit it. There should be two different adjusting screws, one for up/down and the other for left/right.

A: There might be a block heater available for your Versa better call your Nissan Dealership and ask your parts department. Versa does not come stock with a block heater. Good Luck
Q: Does anyone know a great travel system that fits into a Nissan Versa?
My wife and I are expecting in June, and are having a heck of a time finding the right car seat/travel system for our Nissan Versa. Graco’s are too big and bulky, Chico’s stroller fit in the trunk (but that’s it), Maxi Cosi Mico’s base is completely unstable, and the Peg Prego’ handle’s are to short and we kick the wheels. Any suggestion without spending too much. (P.S. baby trend’s and evenflo’s are off the table.)
A: I know you said no to the Evenflo, but I jsut wanted to share with you that we also have a Nissan Versa and we have an evenflo carset and it fits perfect in the middle of the back seat, it holds really good, we are using the seatbelt and the latch, so 2x’s as much hold. I honestly have not checked to see if the stroller portion of the travel system fits in the trunk, but the good thing is that when you fold down seats you have the two differnt parts to fold down, so the seat would still be able to be in a seat belt. Good luck finding something and hope this helped a little.
