Q: Should I buy a used Toyota Corolla or a new Nissan Versa?
I know Toyota corollas are great cars, but out of my price range for a new one. I was thinking of getting a brand new Nissan Versa are these good cars or should I just buy a used corolla? Thanks
A: U dont need a brand new car dont u
. just save $, buy used camry, corolla, matrix, civic, accord, avalon, altima, maxima, mazda 3, 6… they a very reliable and might have more options than that Nissan.
Q: How much will it totally cost me to buy a new Nissan Versa sedan 1.6L auto including the tax,and so on?
I live in LA.
when I get the key and
drive to my house, how much will I spend? thanks!
A: California Sales Tax and a tank of fuel Nissan Advertises A 1.6 Versa with out radio and A/C for $9,995 in Texas Sales tax 8.5% is 849.00 the destination delivery charges and what ever the dealer tacks on for paint sealant fabric sealer pinstripes wheel covers. So a 10k car could cost you 12 to 13k. If your that tight on money think twice about car ownership because Insurance and fuel and unexpected traffic tickets will really hurt. use the “nissan.com” website and get several dealers prices. Always buy the best car you can afford more features will really pay when you trade up in 5 or 6 years. Hands free Phone better stStereolloy wheels Versa plastic wheel covers tend to break and fall off. The Altima almost gets as good gas milage as the much smaller Versa Good Luck. .
Q: Best price on a new Nissan Versa or competitor?
My parents promised me that if I got a scholarship for college, they would give me $10K to get a new car when I graduated high school. I’ve also saved up about $4K of my own money. I think I’d really like to use the money I’ve saved up and get a little brand new car.
I like the Honda Fit, but not so much the Yaris or Aveo. My favorite by far is the Versa. Is it a good car for a teenage girl?
What can I expect to pay for the Versa S (PW, PDL, AT, but nothing too fancy beyond that)? I’ve been looking around a lot and the dealer price seems to be around $15K. Will they deal off this price, or is the Versa too new? How much should I expect to pay out the door? Of course, none of the dealers will give me a straight answer.
I’ve also been looking at used (‘05, ‘06) Corolla’s, Focus’s, Sentra’s, etc. Am I better off going with something a year or 2 older or paying a little more for a new car I like better?
I live in Central California.
A: Well, if ur goin into college, u need something reliable.
Versa just came out so it has its new problems and such.
Corollas are its last year with the current model(‘08 has major changes).
Get a honda fit or civic.
Q: if you exchange an expedition for a new nissan versa do you get $4500 back?
because of obamas new green driving bonus’ thing or would i get less than 4500 back?
A: Cash for Clunkers “CARS” If you purchase a Versa you should qualify for the $4500. However if that Expedition still can tow a trailer you should sell it to some one who can put it to work.
Q: Shoulld I get a New 2007 Nissan Versa my feshman year??
I am considering purchasing a new vehicle soon. I want to make a wise choice though. I drive an 87 buick lesabre with 100,000 miles….with continuous problems and 19mpg. Do you think I should go ahead and get my new (economy) car? I can’t see why I shouldn’t be able to make the payments and full insurance. I’ve accounted for taxes and every expense possible, not to mention making a huge spreadsheet!! It all seems to work. But…my parent are against new cars and think that used is the best…hmmmm (I don’t completely agree). They are also worried about the Loan term and think 4-5 years is a while…though I have paid my own bills and had a job since I was 9. I also work for the dealership I am purchasing the car from. Any input would be great, but please no car suggestions. Im set on the 2007 Nissan Versa Sedan with CVT.
I’m a freshman in college…in my home town…with a very secure job.
A: i know i will be swimming up stream on this one — but i say go for it — what sold me you are going to college in your home town and have a good job — if you have a job and are a full time college studet the last thing you need to worry about is will your car give you good transportaion — i would suggest that for the first few months you live on a very strict budget and get a rainy day savings built of — enough to tide you ove for several months in case something does happen — it sure keeps the “i told you so’ in their places!!!
Q: Bought a new 09 Nissan Versa, with no stereo.Would like to buy a used cassette/Cd player. How do I find one?
I know this is an outdated device that I’m looking for, and the wiring may be incompatible, but I would like to think there is some type of used stereo that would fit and work for this newer car. It has been very hard to find a solution to this. Please help.
A: Ebay has a good choice of used/refurbished items.

Q: Used toyota corolla (corolla S, 18 months old, 13k miles, AT) or new nissan versa (hatch back, 2009, AT)?
A friend is selling a very good condition Toyota Corolla (regularly serviced, no dents/scratches). Both the corolla and versa are 15k. Which one should I go for? What matter to me most are fuel economy and it should fetch me a decent price if I sell it after 1 year.
A: Please go with the Toyota…. I worked for a Nissan Dealership and the quality of the Nissan is NOT as good as the toyota. At least you know the friend has taken care of the car. The Versa is actually one of the better Nissan cars as far as comebacks in the service department but Toyota is soooo much better! Just my opinion. And if it helps I had a Toyota Corolla that had 180,000k on it when I wrecked it, and it was still at that mileage, driving excellent!!! I currently own a Honda Accord, which I love….I have owned Nissan before (under 2000 years and over 2000 years) and the one over 2000 was a big mistake…. a mistake that Nissan still hasnt resolved! I traded it in with 8k on it!
Q: what do you guys think about the new nissan versa??
im in love with that car what do you guys think its economic its cute and its safe what are your opinions???
A: Seems like a pretty good car for the price – good size, features and I really like the CVT transmission.
Q: Is the new Nissan Versa a decent car?
A: I looked it over and it seems great. Nissan makes a very good car but the Versa isn’t a Nissan. It’s actually a Renault Megane, that has been restyled like a Nissan and it’s assembled in Mexico.
I believe it does use the Nissan engine from the Sentra.
Renault builds very comfortable and roomy cars, something they are famous for, as are all French cars. If you test drive one, I think you’ll be in for a pleasant surprise if you’re used to cramped, bumpy small cars.
Q: what do u think of the new NISSAN VERSA?
A: just another compact car i guess, but i read their ad and as a car person it doesn’t really make sense. they’re trying to pitch their car as having the most leg room, and they blame it on a shorter engine. they go on and name a bunch of things like smaller spark plugs(nothing to do w/ width of engine) variable valve timing(again, nothing to do w/ width of engine) and a few other things that have absolutely nothing to do w/ the width of the engine.
Q: Weird question about the new Nissan Versa Hatchbacks.?
Asking this question, so I can relay the info to my grandmother. She’s a short 68 year old, currently driving an ‘01 Civic (that she bought new), that now has 198,000 miles. In late January or so, the transmission went, and it knocked her back in to the reality that even a Honda can and will have maintenance troubles. This got her thinking about looking around for a new vehicle, for when the engine goes. This is where the question comes in.
What she describes that she’s looking for, is almost like a hatchback, or small crossover now. She doesn’t want something that is terribly huge, but she likes seats that are raised up a little, to give you a better view around mounds of snow, for example.
She had what I believe was an ‘06 PT Cruiser, and is a prime example of how the seating is that she likes.
Does any body know if the Versa is like that? Would it give you a view higher off the ground than her Civic? What about the Honda Fit, or Toyota Matrix?
Thank you for you help.
A: The Versa does has seat height adjustments!!! Someone said it didn’t, but it does not in the cheap entry level series, you have to get the 1.8SL model I believe. I use to sell new Nissans, but was a year and a half ago and features can change.
Fit, I just looked at a fit 2 days ago, and the Sport model did NOT have a height adjustment, but the steering wheel did have a telescoping adjustment, just not alot of distance.
Not sure about the Matrix, so I have no input.
However, the Versa and Fit both are easy to get into compared to a normal car because they sit higher and your visability is better because you sit higher than a normal sedan.
The Nissan Rogue would be good also as said previously, but it can be more expensive, usually $21K to $26K. Same as the CRV and RAV4.
Q: What’s Better To Buy New? Nissan Versa vs. Toyota Yaris?
A: The Yaris is more reliable
The Versa is the better buy
The 2009 Honda Fit is better than both…
It’s just as reliable, more fun to drive, looks better, much more car for the money.

Q: Is the new Nissan Versa a good car.??????
A: Yes it is. I just bought one with CVT about 10 days ago. I have been waiting for months for there to be one in the area that wasn’t loaded up with extras. Here are some things I noticed.
It is quick.
I have a couple of large people in my family and they are comfortable – it is roomy inside and there is a lot of room in the hatchback. You can tell when the car is fully loaded – it sits low – I am not used to that. The interior feels like a nice car. The doors have that solid sound when you shut them.
Sound system is good once you get the adjustments made – mine came with the back speakers adjusted nearly off(!?)
MY gas mileage (mostly highway) is not 36 MPG, it’s 30 – but the AC comes on when you use defrost and I haven’t got into a habit of turning it off. It should improve. (edit: bought gas today – 32.7 MPG)
And, it’s quick.
I used to drive a Quest, which got hit by wind a bit – the Versa gets pushed around more.
We had a good bit of snow and ice and even though I couldn’t get anti-lock brakes (can anyone find them?), I have no trouble in it.
And, did I mention, it’s quick.
Bottom line:
I live 30 highway miles from where I work. The expressway I use is poorly designed and the mix of traffic is crazy. My first day of work when I drove home, a cement truck broke down and dumped a load of cement in the middle lane – and things really haven’t improved since then. I am comfortable that this car can handle the unexpected and not break me financially if gas prices go up again.
Q: which GPS system is best for my new Nissan Versa?
i’ve been looking at TomTom, Garmin, Magellean, etc
A: You will want to consider what extra features you want….mp3, bluetooth, traffic updates.
I would recommend going to bestbuy.com or maybe circuitcity.com and compare a few of the devices to see what is more to your liking.
Q: what would insurance cost on a 2010 nissan versa?
I am getting my first car a brand new nissan versa approximately how much will insurance cost me i’m a male and a college student
A: no one here has the foggiest idea. YOU must call a few insurance companies for quotes
