A: ARe you talking about how long will it take to order one, or how long it takes for the delivery at the dealership, once you sign the paperwork? If you order one it can take up to 3 months since they’re made in Korea. Once you sign the papers, it should take no more than 2 hours for delivery.

Q: I’m torn between the new KIA Sorento and ACURA RDX?
Currently in the market for a sporty, SUV, but I have narrowed my decision to these two.
ACURA…Love them, problem though is the pricing with full option. I’m lookin to pay more with FULL OPTIONS + trim around 47K.
With the Sorento on the other hand, I’m looking at little under 34K out the door, this is full option/trim. Not to mention its a AWD. Only problem with the KIA tho…is I’m not sure how reliable they are (never owned one). I’ve test driven this car quite a few times, and I absolutely love it but there is that little doubt.
Any recommendations? Please RDX/Sorento owners, your opinions are more then welcomed!!!!
A: get the kia. with the acura, you are paying more just for the name. not worth it. the kia is a very reliable vehicle. i work on them all day and the acura is just an over-priced honda.

A: Kia has somewhat of a bad rep partly because their small economy cars sell at such a low price. In fact for a long time the cheapest new car available in the US market was a Kia before Chevy came out with the Aveo. Although the ‘cheap’ image of the brand has been hard to shake, Kia has been steadily climbing up the charts in SAFETY and RELIABILITY.
For example, their minivan the Sedona has received the ranking as the safest minivan that was EVER TESTED since they started doing crash tests. The car that you’re interested in, the Sorento, has received a 5-star crash test rating in all catagories by the NHTSA. In fact, with all of the safety features it boasts such as five airbags, Electronic Stability Control and Traction Control System, the Sorento is one of the safest vehicles out there.

Kia’s motto is ‘the power to surprise’. Owners are pleasantly surprised at just how much car they actually get for the money that they spend. Personally I really like the Sorento, if I ever get an SUV in the near future I would get it. If you live where it snows, the 4 wheel drive version is recommended.

Q: HOW MUCH WILL A NEW ENGINE FOR A 2006 KIA SORENTO COST ME?
A: Do you mean a brand new engine from the factory (will be very very expensive) or a good low mileage used replacement engine. If it is the later, then about $2,000 to $3,000 depending on mileage and location (take a look at the link below). You could try craigslist to see if someone is parting out a Sorento (or a similar model that used the same engine), but late model cars will be hard to find – if at all. The 3.5L Sigma V6 was also used by various other Kia and Hyundai models. Take a look at the last link for a list of models that used this engine.
Q: Gonna buy a new car…Can’t decide between ‘10 Honda CR-V loaded, ‘10 Honda Element,or ‘11 Kia Sorento loaded?
ANY advice/insight would be helpful.
A: While Kia have improved immensley over what they were years ago, they still aren’t up to the reliability and resale value of Honda. The Element is more of a specialty vehilcle while the CR-V has wider appeal. My preference is the CR-V.
What I have alway liked about Honda is they all come loaded. There are no options. You decide what features you want and then select the trim level that has those features.

A: Of course it is a hoax. Never listen to e-mails that are too good to be true. If it was that good, they would have probably called you or came to your home.
Q: does the transfer case of the 2003 Kia Sorento EX have torque-on-demand? or no torque-on-demand?
I need to buy a new transfer case for my Kia and I am fixing it myself. But when I called to order the transfer case, they asked if it had torque-on-demand, I tried searching the model online but came up with nothing, does anybody know? Thanks.
A: All 4WD Sorentos used the same transfer-case, so yes it does have torque-on-demand.
Q: Honda odyssey 2009 or Kia sorento 2009 to buy as family car.?
My husband wants to buy the Honda Odyssey and there is not question that it is a better car. But the Kia will reduce our car payments by 200 dollars a month. Please tell me the long term and major differences or between the cars. Also the Kia does have a 10 yr warranty. My husband can’t make up his mind. He keeps asking me, But the only thing i know is that Honda is a better car but i don’t want him to take on finical responsibility we can’t afford. We have never bought a new car before and we have a 3 yr old and 9 month old so we need something bigger and dependable. Also ur input on buying a used Honda rather than a new Kia also, Any suggestion will help thanx in advance,
A: the Kia is good deal for a lot less money than the Honda.
the only thing that’s not great is that unless you drive with a light foot it will not get great mpg. but the V6 power is nice to have.
I also suggest you take a look at the Kia Rondo it’s an excellent vehicle and is available with 7 passenger seating.

Q: does anyone know how to program the keyless entry remote for a 2006 KIA Sorento?

Found out our Sorento needs a new TPS Throttle Position Sensor. Anyone know how to replace it and where it is located on the Kia? My husband is familiar with working on cars but has never worked on Kias or worked with sensors. Any websites with videos or diagrams would also be helpful…..THANKS ANSWER COMMUNITY!
A: Pull the cover off the engine and im thinking 10mm bolts and it is too the left side of the injection or right.
