A: Well I love the new design!
Of course I’m prejudiced…I work for A Ford dealer, but honestly, they are selling like hotcakes & we can’t keep them in stock. All of the new owners are happy about their new cars too!
The Focus is available with SYNC too, which is a VERY cool NEW way to listen to music & use your cell phone. And SYNC is not available on any other cars in this class

Q: Can a ford fiesta be the same size with a ford focus?
I’ve seen too big ford focus and smaller ones. Can you choose what size you want before you buy?
A: Your question makes little to no sense but I assume you mean can you choose between a 3 or 5 door hatchback or a coupe and sedan or station wagon. The short answer is kinda, currently ford is only producing the american Focus in the sedan and coupe variety since 2008. That said the new 2012 Focus will debut soon in North America and will again be offered in a 5 door hatchback (as well as a 4 door sedan with the coupe model being dropped at the end of 2010). The Focus will be larger than the Fiesta so to answer your rather vauge question no a Fiesta can not be the same “size” as a focus. (The sedan focus is about 6 inches longer than the fiesta sedan and the Focus hatch is about 18 inches longer than the Fiesta hatch.)
Q: How many more miles can I expect of a ‘01 Ford Focus?
Looking at cars and this Ford Focus has 153k miles. Can you let me know what I could expect as far as life expectancy for this engine?

Q: Why does Fuse on Ford Focus keeps Blowing?
The cigarette lighter fuse on my 2002 Ford Focus keeps blowing and I am constantly having to replace it. It’s annoying because I use it for my sat nav and also for a generator.
What could be causing the fuse to blow all the time?
It doesn’t blow when anything is plugged in, it’s usually the next time I come to use it and find it’s blown.
It’s the standard stereo that came with the vehicle.
A: there’s a problem with that particular circuit on the loom, you’ll need to get it looked at by an auto electrician

A: The Focus isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. The Fiesta is targeted towards the smaller B-segment audience, like the Yaris and the Fit.
The Focus will actually have a major redesign for the 2012 model and looks to be bringing back the hatchback model that it used to have. The US is moving towards the global platform for the Focus, so what you see in Europe for the Focus is what we will have here as well. There is still a very large customer base for the Focus, so I don’t believe Ford has any intention of getting rid of it.

A: You will need some mechanical knowledge to replace that front wheel bearing. It is pressed into the steering knuckle and is a unitized(sealed) bearing. Support the front of the vehicle on jackstands, your life or limbs are not worth a wheel bearing!!! Remove the desired wheel. Remove the 2 mounting bolts for the front brake caliper. Remove the brake caliper and front brake rotor. Remove the upper and lower ball joint nuts, the outer tie rod end nut and the outer cv joint nut. Use a pickle fork to seperate the ball joints and outer tie rod end from the steering knuckle. Remove the steering knuckle. Note: you may have to tap lightly on the outer cv joint shaft with a hammer to drive it through the knuckle being careful not to hit or damage the threads. Lay the knuckle face down on a flat surface and remove the large retaining snap ring from the backside of the bearing using snap ring pliers. Place the steering knuckle face up on a press and press out the old bearing. Place the knuckle face down on the press and press in the new bearing and install a new retaining snap ring. Reverse disassembly instructions to reinstall the steering knuckle. If you cannot press the bearing due to lack of proper equiptment, i.e. “a press”, your local auto parts and machine shop or goodyear or pep boys or whatever should be able to do so for you for a very nominal fee. This procedure involves your brakes and sterring and suspension systems and must be done correctly so as not to endanger you or others due to poor workmanship and is best left to an experienced professional!

Q: How do I fix 2003 Ford Focus Check engine code P2004?
Just rebuilt transmission on the 2003 ford focus zx3 automatic, check engine light is still on with code p2004 “intake runner control stuck open” I just spent $3000 on a tranny rebuild to fix the multiple tranny error codes that came up, however this code is still coming up. So I have a couple questions: can I continue to drive it with the light on? What needs to be fixed and how much?
A: Most likely the IMRC (Intake manifold runner control) was not plugged in when the transmission repair was done. The IMRC sensor and actuator is located in the back of the Intake Manifold. It is ok to drive the vehicle with this code. Save your C-bill, see if the sensor and actuator are plugged in.

A: find yourself a good jap replacement engine. even thogh some of the focus’s use mazda engines, this one is not compatible

A: A torque restrictor?? You must be talking about the torque converter, I can see that costing $500 to replace. You have to take out the transmission in order to replace the torque converter. If you don’t have a whole lot of knowledge on cars or experiance working on them, I would suggest you have the shop do the work.

A: The RS was available all over Europe, though the vast majority of them were sold in the UK and hence are right-hand drive.
Federalizing it will not be easy. Since Ford is going to be selling an only-slightly-modified European Focus in the States starting in model year 2012, perhaps Dearborn will be kind enough to kick out a few RS models for us.

A: there is a noticeable difference but if its worth it depends on how much extra it is- for under $400 you could change the radio and speakers and it would sound a lot better than the Audiophile system

I want to tint my 09 ford focus. Ive called around dealerships to get quotes and it ranges from 200 -300.
Does anyone know a great place in the vegas area that has long lasting quality work and is a little cheaper?
A: There has got to be a million places in Vegas that does tinting. You don’t want too cheap otherwise the tint job will sucks. Expect to pay $150 or so at a minimum for all windows.
Do a google search for “las vegas window tint” and start making phone calls.
