Looking for a 2011 kia sorento? Visit the automotive resource EcoAutoNinja.com

Q: where to install the block heater on a 2011 kia sorento?
i have the block heater and i have the sorento, if anyone has the diagram of where to insert it, it would be a GREAT help!! Im in fairbanks and its starting to get cold!!!

A: Block heaters are generally installed in a freeze plug. In a four cyl. engine it is on the side of the engine facing the back or firewall. It is quite tricky to do, having a lift will be an asset. Call the dealer and see what he is quoting for the job. Then compare with what other garages are quoting.

Q: i HAVE A 2011 KIA SORENTO AND IT CREATES THUMPING AND VIBRATION SOUNDS IN ITS GAS TANK. IS IT NORMAL?

A: it’s a 2011, take it back to the dealer. you have a 7year/100,000 mile warrenty, right?

Q: 2011 Honda CR-V vs. 2011 Kia Sorento?
My wife and I are expecting a baby (our first) and are looking to get a family vehicle. I have narrowed it down to both these models, but cannot decide which one to go with. Would love to get some feedback from current owners or specialists. Thanks.

A: You should also consider that such a car may be expensive to insure. Check your insurance rates before buying one, for example here – carinsurance.deep-ice.com

Q: Kia Sorento 2011 commercial song?
It’s not the commercial with “how ya like me now?!” or the stuffed animals. All the song seems to say is “doo doo doo doo doo doo”. I can’t find the song anywhere!

A: This song is from HardDrive records, and wont be released until march 22. So if you attempt to search this song, you wont find it since no one can get a hold of it until the release date.

Q: what that KIA SORENTO commercial song?
It’s like an acoustic catchy tune where they’re driving through the mountain side and forest through the north west. It’s not the commercial with the appliances in the woods and modern stuff. I saw it as of 10/14/2010 . Maybe it’s for the 2011 sorrento or 2010. I can’t find the commercial anywhere.

A: I want to find out what that song is as well. It’s for the 2011 Kia Sorento SX, and you can see the video on their website.

Q: Any ideas for a quick fix to my messed up steering wheel mounted audio controls?
I have a 2011 Kia Sorento I just turned it on one day and the steering wheel mounted audio controls are all messed up. The volume switch only turns the volume down, no matter what direction you push it. The other buttons are also performing incorrect functions as well. As far as I can tell it is only this set of controls that is messed up. I bought the car from a dealer two hours away and I don’t want to have to drive that just to fix these buttons, any ideas for an easy fix that won’t void my warranty?

A: The car is under warranty from Kia. You can take it to any Kia dealer. You don’t have to take it to the dealer you bought it off of…

Q: Do my parents have to do anything to there insurance so I can drive and be insured now that I got my PA Permit?
We live in Pennsylvania, and I just got my Driving Permit yesterday. My parents always have to drive with me in the passenger seat for me to drive, so will they have to do anything or change their insurance at all for me to be able to drive and be insured with JUST my permit. The cars are a 1998 Plymouth Grand Voyager, a 2005 Kia Sorento Se, a 2011 BMW 328xi, and a 2001 Ferrari 550 Maranello, and I will be driving all of them (just not the Ferrari too much) if it makes a difference

A: Household Auto insurance rules:

YOU MUST DISCLOSE ALL HOUSEHOLD MEMBERS THAT HAVE A DRIVERS LICENSE….WHETHER THEY WILL DRIVE THE CAR OR NOT…….!
You need to disclose all household members in your household. Each company will handle them differently. Typically, a carrier will include the driver on the policy, exclude the driver from the policy, or not rate the person on the policy.
The insurance company will ask these types of questions to determine how the person will be listed on the policy:
Will this resident be included on the policy? Depending on your answer to this question, each company will ask additional questions to determine how to rate the policy.
All the household residents, 16 (some states 15) years of age or older, and all regular operators of the vehicles need to be included on the policy. You can choose to include the resident on your policy or not and companies’ underwriting will determine if you are eligible to be insured by the insurance company.
The answers to these questions will help the company include the drivers in rating or help them determine how to include, exclude, or not rate the drivers on the policy. The named insured cannot be an excluded driver.

The cars are a 1998 Plymouth Grand Voyager, a 2005 Kia Sorento Se, and a 2011 BMW 328xi, and I will be driving all of them if it makes a difference

A: I’m pretty sure that insurance doesn’t change when you get your permit, but it does change when you get your license. At that point, for you to be covered when you drive, you’ll need to be added to the insurance policy. It will probably be cost effective for your parents to specifically state that you will not be driving the 2011 BMW, and insure you on the other two cars instead.

Q: What is the stereo wiring color code for a 2011 honda accord?
Looking for the colors of the pos and neg of the speaker wires at the speaker for a 2011 Honda accord. Thanks in advance.

Q: Are there any differences between the 2010 and 2011 Honda Accord coupe?
I’m in the market for a new car. I definitely want to get a new Honda Accord coupe. But i can’t decide between the 2010 and 2011. Are there any major differences between the models? The body style seems exactly the same. And I could probably get a better deal with the 2010. But have new features been added to the 2011?

A: For the 2011 model year both the Accord sedan and coupe went through a mid-life cycle update. Both cars feature new front fascias and updated tail lamps. The sedan features the reflective strips seen on the Japanese Honda Inspire. Inside, Honda has added steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters to the EX-L V6 Coupe, and USB connectivity for all coupe models and EX/EX-L sedans. A rearview camera is now standard with the available navigation system on the sedan. EX-L V6 models gain memory seats and all models get new fabrics and some minor instrument panel and control modifications. A new SE model will be offered mid range. New improved aerodynamics and a reworked five-speed automatic transmission help the Accord gain 23 mpg (city) and 34 mpg (hwy).

In short they made a hideous car even uglier.

Q: What is the release date for the 2011 Honda Accord?
And if I wait till that releases will the 2010 model prices go down?

A: The 2011 Honda Accord goes on sale in mid August 2010.

Q: Will the 2011 Honda Civic and Accord be redesigned?
Will the Honda Civic and Honda Accord get redesigns for the 2011 model year?

A: The Accord is set for a mid-model refresh for the 2011 model year, a full redesign would be a year or two after that.

The Civic had it’s mid-model refresh in ‘09, it’s slated for a total redesign for the 2012 model year.

Q: I have a 2011 Honda Accord EX-L and I was trying to set up my Iphone with the Bluetooth option.?
I have a Iphone 3G and it pairs with my Honda but will not “connect” any suggestions or anybody else having this problem. When I open up my Bluetooth in my Iphone I can see my Honda hands free link it just never connects, PLEASE HELP.

A: call your service provider they will help u but some phones will not connect like i have a 7′ touch screen in my integra and had all the works gps, BT, but had a instinct and it would do the same but my blackberry would connect try another phone see what happens good luck

Q: What are the differences between 2008 Honda Accord and 2011 Honda Accord?

A: 2011 from exterior honda accord looks different than 2008. Also there’s a difference in gas mileage, a honda dealer told me that he thinks 2011 is lighter and picks up faster than 2008. And there’s a new interior design (not completely but a bit of change). There’s an SE line available. the EX EX-L will have the 190 HP engine (K24Z3) as standard.

Here’s more:

http://www.egmcartech.com/2010/06/24/2011-honda-accord-sedan-and-2011-honda-accord-coupe-revealed/

Q: should I get a honda accord 2011 or toyota camry 2011?
I’m a 27 year old female graduate student. I want a professional looking car that is trust worthy and safe. please help me decide!
and please let me know why you picked one over the other.

A: 2011 Hyundai Sonata.

Better looking than the Accord and Camry.
Better mileage than the Accord and Camry.
Better warranty than the Accord and Camry.
More 4-cylinder horsepower than the Accord and Camry.

Q: For 2011 Honda Accord EXL 4 $ 24200 is good price?
I am thinking to buy next week, Please guys help me.

A: Yeah you’re not getting ripped off. If you really want, you can call up another honda dealership in your area to see what they would do for you on the same car. For the most part, Honda is kinda snotty about their prices, but no harm in trying to get them down a little bit, especially if you’re taking a car off their lot

Q: Honda Accord 2011 release?
When will there be photos/public reveal of the 2011 Honda Accord models?
Thank you.

A: The 2011 Accord should be the mid-model change. I’d expect photos to surface a couple months before the release, hopefully by June.

Q: What are the differences between 2008 Honda Accord EX-L and 2011 Honda Accord EX-L?

A: The 2008 and 2011 Accord are the same size in and out, the only difference is that the 2011 has tweaked grille, lights, wheels.

Q: Asked by user Dad: If you were given a choice between a 2011 Honda Accord EX and a Toyota Camry SE?
…………….which one would you choose, and tell me why also.

Honda Accord EX Photo:

http://i2.paultan.org/2008_Honda_Accord/2008_Honda_Accord_Malaysia_1_Large.jpg

Toyota Camry SE photo:

http://www.auto123.com/11photo/toyota/camry4dr-se.jpg

A: Now that’s a really tough choice! We’ve owned both Toyotas and Hondas in our family and loved all of them.

However, personally, I would prefer the Toyotas. I think they are better made, have a SLIGHTLY better repair record, and are a better car overall.

If it were not for a “close encounter of the venison kind,” I would likely STILL be driving my 1978 Toyota Tercel today. It was 11 years old when the deer killed it. If it were not for that, I was expecting another 11 years out of it. And ever since that car, I’ve been “stuck” with a string of horrible vehicles… up until my parents sold me THEIR 1978 Toyota Camry. I’d still have THAT one if it were not for the final transmission failure that put it out of it’s misery.

Everyone is entitled to my opinion.

Q: When will the 2011 Honda accord coupe be released?

A: Most likely late this year. I would expect to see it late 3rd quarter, early 4th quarter for sure.

Q: Honda Accord 2011 Previews Out Yet?
Hi, does anyone know of any Honda Accord 2011 reviews, photos or preview that have been released? How much would 2010 Accords drop in price when the 2011’s are out? Also, when would they be out? Thanks!

A: I have an 08 accord v-6 with leather but no NVA. I think the model is EX-L.

I love the tightness and quality, but would like to be able to turn off the “ECO” mode or have the ability to manually shift the automatic through all 5 gears similar to most other manufactures.

Take this into consideration before you purchase.

Q: Which car brand is the best quality and why? toyota camry 2011, honda accord 2011, nissan altima or ford fus ?
Which car sedan I should buy and why? I am looking for the best QUALITY

A: Ford Fusion.

Q: Honda Accord 2011……….NEW?
Any idea about Accord 2011?
Will Honda change the car or not?

A: Thats a good question. Im anxious to read your responses from people. I just bought a 2010 last Friday, and so far, I AM IN LOVE WITH IT!!!

Looking for a 2011 hyundai santa fe? Visit the automotive resource EcoAutoNinja.com

Q: How Much Below Sticker Should I Expect to Pay for a 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe?

A: you should be about 2,000 below sticker price, but using a website like edmunds.com will tell you what you should pay by the area you live in,that way you’ll have a better idea, use internet buying thatw ay you’ll for sure get the price you got thru that website.
also some dealers sell internet buying only and at times will be even less than edmunds, so also check into that plus look at the dealers web site.

Q: What a will $ 32,740 2011 Hyundai Santa fe,Limited Completely loaded sell for in 2012?

A: look up a 2010

Q: 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe, is it a good buy?
Hi, I need to buy a NEW Mid-Size SUV which is not expensive, will be used by a family of 4 and I am stucked with Hyundai Santa Fe.

Will take care of the vehicle and probably will use for until it last and performs good. I only consume like 7000m/yr. Primary daily use if from home to work and back. like only 10-15 miles a day.

Do you think it is a good pick or should I just shell out like $6000 more and buy some much more reliable vehicle?

A: You could probably still find a new 2009 Santa Fe somewhere and save thousands.
As the very least, buy a 2010. They are starting to discount them now.

Yes, the Santa Fe is a good vehicle.

Q: Whats the exact release date of 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe?
Anyone? Let me know…thank you…Please no BS, coz I cant afford any other Mid-Size SUV..

A: My Dallas area dealer said they will have them in by late Oct

Q: Hyundai Santa Fe vs Hyundai Tucson whats the difference?
I mean if you take a look:

2011 Hyundai Tucson MSRP: $24,425
Trim: GLS 4cyl AWD 6spd AT

2010 Hyundai Santa Fe MSRP: $25,640 – $1000 rebate = $24,640
Trim: GLS 4cyl AWD 6spd AT.

The difference in price is just a mere $215…
I think that the standars and interiors are pretty much the same…

Whats the difference? the Looks? and size?

How much bigger is Santa Fe compared to Tucson?

Hyundai claims, Tucson has more passenger room than Acura MDX?

Please elaborate…

A: The current Santa Fe is an older, recently-refreshed model, while the current Tucson (ix35 in other markets) is a recently-released one. That accounts for the rebate, since Hyundai still has to move them off the lots in spite of of potential competition from their own Tucson.

Officially, the Santa Fe is already in the mid-sized SUV category while the Tucson is a compact SUV.

Size-wise, the Santa Fe should be a little bigger, but a little dated compared to the Tucson.

Q: Hyundai Santa Fe reliability grade?
How do you rate Hyundai Santa Fe about reliability compared to Honda Pilot, Subaru Tribeca and Toyota Higlander?

A lot says that Hyundai’s are crap…Is this true up to this year 2011?
So rate them 1-10. 10 is highest…

Rate Honda, Toyota, and Subaru first, then rate the Hyundai.
Thank you! I am considering the Hyundai because its a lot cheaper, but I want to know if it is worth the savings? Or it will just cost me much more in the future? I will buy a brand new car, and will probably use it minimum of 10yrs.

A: Consumer Reports the higher number the better Hyundia 78 Honda 74 Subaru 70 Toyota 81

Q: Toyota vs. Hyundai vs. Dodge?
I’m looking to buy a new car because mine took a dump on me. (Litterally. It dumped a bunch of anti-freeze and I was told the head gasket is blown and not worth repairing.)

So I figured, I’m going to get myself a new car for once since I’ve never really owned a new car. (This last one was a 1999 hand-me-down from my brother). My main requirements:

2010 or 2011
4/All wheel drive
30+ miles per gallon city and highway
leather seats (I have two dogs… one who sometimes gets an upset stomach on longer trips.)

That’s the big stuff for me, as well as having a decent warranty.

Unfortunately, there are like 5 major dealerships within a 2 hour drive from where I live (3 in an hours drive). (our state was the most hardest hit by the government forcing dealerships to close.) So there is NO competition really.

I had it narrowed down to a 2011 Toyota Rav4 limited… but they were not budging price wise. (because there is no competition, they feel they don’t need to wheel and deal cause options are limited.)

after figuring things out, the total price was $30,000… and the sales guy came down to $29,200. He also would take my other car as a trade in for $400. I basically told him I’d be looking around for a better deal and that coming down less than $1000 wasn’t exactly impressive. Eventually he called me the next day and said he’d let it go for $27,400.

I found a Hyundai Santa Fe, 2011… AWD, leather seats, fully automatic, they are willing to sell for $26,400. The only thing would be that it wouldn’t get as good of gas milage as the Rav4.

I told the Toyota salesman if he can match them, I’d get the car today. He basically tried to make it sound like it wasn’t that great of a deal because Hyundai is crap… (even though my brother had one and loved it for many years…)

but he refused to come down that extra $1000 to make the sale.

So my main question is… should I just say too bad so sad for you and give the sale to Hyundai? Should I give a second look to Dodge (the only other major dealership I had kind of brushed off.)

or am I being too tough on Toyota and passing up on a good deal to get a 2011 Rav4 for $27,400?

A: You also should compare car insurance quotes for cars before buying one, for example here – carquotes.fateback.com

Q: I just bought a 2011 Hyundai Tucson and I an not happy with it can I trade it in for something else ?
I have only made 2 payments. I would like to get the Santa Fe or maybe a different make like the Ford Edge is this possible without a big hassle?

A: The dealer would probably love to sell you another Hyundai, or take that one back and not refund any money to you. you get what you pay for. At any rate, you’re at the mercy of the Hyundai dealer. Try this, contact the internet sales manager where youbought the car and try to work out something. And be sure you really want the SantaFe before you buy it. That will be the smallest hassle I can imagine. If there is something wrong with the car youmight negotiate with that fact. If the car doesn’t fit you, that will get little sympathy. Perhaps some modification can be made for you.

Q: car worth buying in Dubai,UAE?
I live in Dubai UAE, and really like to buy the 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe 2.4L or MItsubishi Outlander or Kia Sportage 2011, 2.4 L .I am not sure about the resale value ,performance, reliability and safety of these cars . because I keep receiving conflicting information on this topic .

There are Ramadan promotions going on for Ford (2010 model) and Nissan Xtrail(2010 model).my friend suggested me about Kia Soren to also.

I am really new to this topic and confused.
My budget is AED 70000-80000

Can anyone help to me on this topic?suggest me what would be the best for my budget.Specialy for UAE

Thanks in advance

A: As an Expat, it is better to own a low-budget car.

My choice in those you have mentioned

1. Hyundai Sata Fe
2. Nissan X-Trail / X-Terra
3. Kia Sportage

Sorento is not a 4WD and Outlander is not good.

Ignore the donkey on this forum

1 and 2 may be slightly over budget. Good offers on the Altima – Great value for money

Q: Is it wise to buy an extended warranty for a used vehicle from the dealership?
I’m buying a 2006 hyundai santa fe with 54,000 km.
so the 5 year initial warranty is still up til 2011.

I’m a moderate driver. In my other car I put an average of 8,000 km/year.

A: Make sure you know exactly what the factory warranty covers and what the extended warranty will cover beyond the factory. If your not planning on keeping the car longer than the warranty, then no. If you are, wait till it’s late in the year of 2010. And you don’t have to go through the dealer either. There may be other carriers out there that are cheaper and better. I’d say forget the extended warranty for now and save for one later.

Looking for a 2011 ford focus? Visit the automotive resource EcoAutoNinja.com

Q: Does the 2011 Ford Focus tell you the MPG your getting?
On some model’s of vehicles, there may be a screen that tell’s you the MPG your getting, does the 2011 Ford Focus come with this AT ALL? Even if you config it?

A: That info is in your owners manual. Read it………………..md

Q: How much does a 2010/2011 Ford Focus RS cost overseas?
I want to find out where can the Ford Focus RS be bought for the cheapest price because in SA we pay R479000 which is 43341.10 pounds and $68673.87.

A: There won’t be an RS version available in the states until 2013

and if it cost anything like 68K, they won’t sell a single car
(cause we have the option of real sports cars here, lol)

lol

Q: K and N 2010 CAI for 2011 ford focus?
Greetings, I have a 2011 ford Focus ses and I will try to make this email short and to the point

I recently researched the air box and MFA sensor difference between the 2010 focus and 2011 focus.
Since the same air box and MFA were used on both vehicles, I decided to buy an 2010 ford focus K & N CAI since the 2011 was not available.
The CAI works fine, however, at times there is a throttle lag which become dangerous if you are in the middle of an intersection and floor it, noticing you are not going anywhere for a while. By the time the car moves, you could have been hit by a car.

Therefore and since I cannot get a refund for the CAI, will this SCT Performance Chip tuner work on the 2011 ford focus and will this tuner solve the throttle lag problem?
In fact, why is the throttle lag happing, I do not undestand since it is the same air box, engine and MFA. In addition, there is no engine light.

Thanks,
let me emphasize that I am not out to convert my car into a race car, I simply wanted to add a CAI to further improve the gas mileage which it did. I went from 29 MPG to 37 MPG on the HWY. Since I cannot get a refund on the CAI I need a solution. Based on the throttle lag, will a performance chip solve this problem? Otherwise, the CAI goes on ebay.

A: save your money, do not waste it on plastic sewerpipe with an air filter stuck to it, these do not perform as advertised, in fact, they test them at wide open throttle. Do you plan to run around town at wide open throttle? I suggest you contact your local trusted mechanic, and ask him what he thinks, and while you are at it, ask him about performance chips or power chips, as this is the next many people do when throwing perfectly good money down the toilet. These products, do not live up to their billing, it is advertising and B S at its worst, If you want an extra pile of horses, use a turbo, a gm is now voiding warranties after a rash of transmission failures with chips, and keep this in mind, that little engine is already working hard, and the more power and the harder you make it work, the sooner it will blow up, Originally in about 92 those chips started to surface for mostly diesels, and even now, you can put a 4 or 5 stage chip on a diesel, and get some killer horsepower. But since 92 to present, vehicles that use chips, have been having some catastrophic failures often enough to warrant a second thought about using one. and the best thing to do, is check with your mechanic, because reality dictates, that if any of this crap worked, it would be on your car when you bought it. (and your car already has a cold air intake)

Q: Anyone Know the release date for the 2011 Ford Focus?
I already know its coming out in the early months of 2011 in the UK and US. Anyone know the month? Wanting to get one is all.
this model http://www.ford.co.uk/AboutFord/News/VehicleNews/NewEstateModel

A: The UK already has the new style focus, and the US will get it in the 2012 model year. The US 2011 Focus is out now and is the same as the 2010 (and 2009), it’s the old body car.

EDIT – the UK has this car already, and as the other poster indicated the 2012 Focus will be in the US in the spring. If you are wondering about that station wagon or “estate” body style in the US – not coming, at least not at first.

Q: I just bought a 2011 Ford focus, and it broke?
Why the hell?
Had it for 3 months, then it was burning one day, so I took it to a repair store, and they said they couldn’t fix it. My Toyota camry doesn’t do this, and its 4 years old!

A: return it

Q: 2011 Ford Focus Manual VS Automatic brakes?
My boyfriend and I recently purchased 2011 ford focuses, mine being Manual and his being Automatic. He doesnt know how to drive manual so he doesnt understand the difference between our two cars but my brakes are not nearly as good as his!! I drove his car yesterday and they are so sensitive if you tap them the car comes to a halt immediately. My car does NOT do that, I mean my brakes are fairly good but im concerned my car may be defective or something and Ive only had it for about a month so id really like to know why theres such a huge difference between our cars

BRAKES
Type Power-assisted front disk, rear drum brakes with four wheel, 4-channel anti-lock
braking system (ABS)
Front 10.83-inch vented disc
Rear 8.0-inch dru

A: His may have POWERED Brakes, and you may have just Standard brakes…

Q: 2011 Ford Focus or 2011 Ford Fiesta?
I’m getting ready to buy a new car in the next couple of days. I read alot of good things about the Ford Fiesta and went to the dealership to test drive and buy it. However, once there, the dealer informed me of the huge rebates available on the Focus right now. Basically I can get either car for about $14,500. Which would you get if you could get either for the same price?

A: I’ve driven both cars and fully enjoyed them both.
They are both well built, reliable, well appointed, safe and fun.
It all boils down to your own personal preferences and needs.

Personally , I would choose the Focus over the Fiesta simply because the huge incentives make it a better deal at the moment.

The reason for the incentives is that the newly designed Focus will be coming out soon, and then .. nobody will want the leftover ‘old’ design.
I’m not that vain and would rather have the “deal” now, than the latest design.

But that’s just my nature. I don’t judge peeps for wanting the latest in design and technology either. I’m just more frugal than them, but that doesn’t make them ‘bad’… just different than me.

A good deal is whichever vehicle you personally like more than the other.

Enjoy your new Ford!

Q: Reviews on the 2011 Ford Focus?
Any personal opinions, or sites with reviews of them would be great.

Thank you much!

A: Hi I love my 2010 Focus SEL which is identical internally and externally in every way. Reviews are very good…way better than Corolla, and Honda Civic. And this link will take you to every available 2011 Ford Focus Review in existence. Good luck!

http://aim.search.aol.com/aol/search?s_it=searchbox.webhome&v_t=na&q=2011+Ford+Focus+reviews

Q: SE Ford Focus 2011.. yes or no?
i might be leasing a focus 2011 soon. is it a nice car to get? whats good and whats bad about it? and where does it fit in the chart of like ’sweet cars’
i know its no camaro… but i dont know much about cars.. so please tell me everything you can thanks!

A: It’s basic transportation more or less. If I were you I’d hold for 2012 Focus, we’re finally getting the euro-spec Focus in the states, it’s considered to be a far superior vehicle when compared to the outdated 2000-2011 model.

Q: How to add an amp into a Ford Focus 2011′?
Ok, so I bought a new focus, and it has only 4 speakers, however, I want to up this a bit and add two 10’s and a 12 in the trunk.

I have the speakers and a 400W amp, and they will all run the speakers fine without blowing them.
I am going to have the power wire run from the + side of the battery to the amp. And then I am going to have the remote wire run to the amp as well. Then I will ground the amp to the frame/chassis.

My question is this, I wont have to worry about the amp draining the battery because it will be connected via a remote wire from the stereo.
However I would like to be able to turn the amp and bass off when I want in case I get a call or something or am listening to something with no bass.
Instead of having to manually turn the bass down through the radio, I want to install a kill/toggle/on-off switch to it.

As far as I have read, this can be done fairly easy.
From what I understand, there are three cables going to the amp. The amp cable from the battery. The remote cable from the stereo. And the ground cable from anywhere.
Now If I wanted to attach a switch, I would do so on the remote cable right?

My understanding is that even though there is a power cable attached from the battery, it shouldnt drain it unless the remote cable is turned on…

Am I making sense? I plan on doing this all myself, and there are so many ways to hook things up that it is hard to find a decent walkthrough.

A: Correct, when the ignition is turned on, the remote wire goes hot, while the ground and positive wire are always hot, but the path between them is open till the remote wire goes hot and closes the path, turning the amp on.

Placing a switch of some sort in line on the remote wire would just prevent the amp from going hot. Unless of course the amp can also go hot from line level power, I know some amps don’t require a remote because they can go hot from RCA input.

Q: Trim on a Ford Focus?
I am looking to buy either a 2010 or 2011 Ford Focus. There are different types of trim, S, SE, SEL, ect…. I know the higher it goes the more pricey they are. what do those mean?

A: SE= Special Edition……SEL= Special Edition Luxury…….SES= Sports European Edition.

Q: Good name for a Ford Focus?
I just bought a new 2011 ford focus, and i cant think of any good names that fit the car..help?!

Heres a pic of the car

Q: Ford Focus or Chevy Cobalt ?
hey guys , i got my license like 3 weeks ago and ive been looking at chevy cobalts recently . And i like them .
However ive been hearing reviews about bad brakes . And that’s scary . But i also was looking at ford focuses . My dad wants me to get a two door car though . Do you think the people talking about bad brakes were because of bad driving or what ? I live like 30 mins from Houston closer to the gulf of Mexico .So its very very hot down here . I like to go to the beach and the beach i go to , we usually have to park our cars on the sand . But in winter it can get cold but not too cold to where it snows .
I want something reliable , very good gas mileage , good brakes , good tires , something safe , & a sunroof

so should i get a 2008-2011 Ford Focus coupe or 2007-2010 Chevy Cobalt
thanks

A: If you want something reliable, you have to buy a Honda or Toyota. Honda Civic coupe should fit your needs. Honda is known for outstanding reliability and fuel economy. I had a Ford Focus for 3 months, I took it for regular maintenance still it just broke down one day and didn’t work for 2 hours. My mom has a 2000 Honda Civic, it never had a problem. Never. Also my dad works for Ford and the environment is very relaxed. On most days, my dad doesn’t have any work to do. That’s how Ford and Chevy is, they are relaxed and they lack quality. Toyota and Honda are both very strict and their workers never get a second off which translated to outstanding quality. You’ll get the most out of your money with a Honda or Toyota.

Look here http://usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/cars-trucks/rankings/Affordable-Small-Cars/

Honda Civic: #2
Ford Focus: #26
Chevrolet Cobalt: #23

Q: how much would be a good down payment for a $16,000 ford fiesta?
I am planning on trading in my 01 ford focus for a 2011 ford fiesta that is around 16050 and I was just wondering what a good down payment would be…??? Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks = )

A: the more you put down the less you will finance saving you lots of interest. I would put at least 20%

Q: Aftermarket Sirius to 2011 Focus?
Just came home with a new stripped-down Ford Focus S yesterday. I had planned to throw my old portable Sirius Starmate receiver in there, pass audio through the Aux Input jack, and use my old magnet mount antenna.

But it looks like there might be a Sirius antenna already installed on the roof. If so, where is the plug end of the antenna cable? Might as well use Fords antena rather than risk scratched paint with the mag mount.

And, as an after thought, Is there a way to pipe my audio into the factory radio so it will play when I press the Sirius button? It would be extra cool to keep the Aux Input free for my Ipod.

Thanks guys!

A: The Antenna connector is in the area behind the factory installed radio. As to piping the Sirius through your factory, beats me

Q: Hello. I’m Chinese (Chinese Chinese not any other Chinese) and I ordered my brand new 2011 Ford Explorer 2 mon?
ths ago and I still haven’t heard anything about it since. Where the hell is my damn CAR?

A: Maybe you’re payments bounced.

Did you order tracking along when you ordered it? (tracking is usually very cheap)

I would call up GM and tell them your order number so you can be informed of the status of the transaction.

Q: Can Ford Explorer 2011 tow 20ft. Airstream trailer with 5000 GVWR?
I’m planning to get both of Ford Explorer 2011 and Airstream Flying Cloud travel trailer which has 5000 lbs GVWR. Ford Explorer 2011 specs describe its towing capacity of 5000lbs.
Can Ford Explorer 2011 tow a travel trailer with 4500 ~ 5000 GVWR?
If not, which SUV model is good for towing it and hauling up to 7 passenger comportably?
Thanks.

A: A larger SUV like a Ford Expedition or Chevy Suburban would be better suited.

You are calculating right basing your trailer weight on the GVWR. GVWR is Gross Vehicle Weight Rating; this means that the trailer, when fully loaded, should not exceed 5,000 pounds. Dry Weight is the weight of the unloaded trailer and would be less than 5,000 pounds in this case.

Now, tow capacity varies greatly depending on equipment of the vehicle. Not all Explorers will have the same tow capacity. Towing capacity is dependent on engine, transmission, drive configuration, axle ratio and a host of other factors. Check the build sticker on the driver door jamb for towing capacity. You can also check the owners manual to see what the capacities are for the different equipment configurations.

I would still suggest looking into a larger SUV. Not only will they be better suited for towing, but will also be more comfortable when seating 7.

Q: When is Ford revealing the 2011 Explorer??
My god its that last auto show in New York this year. Can we expect Ford to reveal the Explorer now? When!?!?! I can’t wait anymore.
Please don’t give me nonsense links, I asked a question, I’ve seen every picture of what they “think” it might look like.

Q: Where can i find a stereo system for my 2011 nissan versa?
i just bought a brand new versa but i has no stereo, where can i find a nice legit looking stereo for it?

A: BEST-BUY Crutchfield and many Stereo shops can preform a install that fits looks good and sounds good. Did you buy the 10,000 car or the 9,000 car with out A/C and radio car? I have to wonder why would some one finance a car with out the larger engine and Air conditioning and radio CVT transmission? Buying the fully loaded Versa could only be $50/60 more a month on a 72 month loan

Q: Do 2011 Nissan Versa Sedan come with spare tire?
Do all or any of the trims come with a spare tire, and how has the Versa been?

A: Well sometimes it varies by dealer and some have the option of a spare.

Q: I drove a 2011 nissan versa sedan in arizona and a hubcap came off.?
I did not run over anything. Has this happened to anyone else?

A: Maybe you shouldn’t drive a little car to arizona. Arizona is mostly for suv

Q: How do you update the GPS maps in the 2011 Nissan Versa?
I know that you don’t have to update them when you buy the car, I am asking for future reference.

A: There is a chip that goes in the Versa near the bottom of the stereo. You have to replace that.

I’m sure it’s about 300.00 so if you aren’t in an area that builds new roads all the time, I would not even do it…personally…but that’s up to you.

From your friendly Nissan Salesperson

Q: review for 2011 nissan versa sedan?
2011 nissan versa sedan

A: Reading the owner’s reviews from the link below you could not pay me to own one of these cars

Q: Factory nissan Versa speakers?
I just bought a 2011 nissan versa on saturday, and I opted to get one without a stereo, because in my old car I had a sub and an amp (which I removed), and I plan on putting them in my new car, and I know a factory radio doesnt have pre-amp hookups so I would be ripping the stereo out anyway which is why I didn’t want to pay the extra $1000 to get a versa with a stereo. The Versa does have pre-audio wiring and 4 speakers, which is awesome because I can get a stereo installed.I actually have an appointment at Best Buy on thursday to get everything installed. I just want to know if the Versa speakers are any good? The Kenwood stereo I got has a low pass filter setting, which is awesome, cause I can control the cut off frequency. I plan on limiting the amount of bass in my speakers which are brand new and have NEVER been used (no stereo)….I just want to know if the nissan speakers will be okay for about a year, because I do plan on upgrading
( just cant afford to right now). Thanks.

A: You’re smart to save the money and install aftermarket audio equipment. Your existing sub and amp should bring out the low end from your Kenwood.

Most factory speakers should be able to handle the output from a typical aftermarket head unit with no problems. Stock speakers in many Nissan’s are better than average and some even sound pretty good. I’d say run the stock speakers now and install better ones when you can afford them.

Q: Nissan Versa worth the price it is?
Ok so if you looked at my other two questions i have been asking around a lot about Hyundai and Kia. for Hyundai i got mixed reviews but more so towards the positive. Now for Kia i got the complete opposite.

With that in mind i would like to throw in the 2010 or 2011 Nissan Versa for review.
Once again im a simple college student that’s driving a car that will explode any moment so im trying to find a NEW cheap/small car that i can use for a while.

So for the money is the Versa worth it? Does it give up quality cause of the cost etc.

Serious answers only please

A: do not get the sedan only consider the hatchback

Q: nissan speaker dilemma?
I have a 3 day old 2011 Nissan Versa that I LOVE! The only thing is, I chose to get the trim without a stereo. Why? I’ll tell you.
My old car was a 2002 Toyota Echo and I had a bangin system in there. I had an Alpine MRP M500 amp and a Kenwood KFCW3012 12″ Sub. When I bought the Versa, I wanted to put these components in it, which is why I chose the trim without the radio, seeing as you can’t have an amp hooked up to a stock stereo. I have an appointment on Thursday to get my new Kenwood headunit installed, as well as my Alpine and Kenwood sub that I took out of my old car. Even though the Versa came without a stereo, they still put in Audio pre-wire and 4 speakers to allow the addition of an aftermarket stereo which is awesome. So, I’m stuck in a really weird position because i have no idea how the Versa stock speakers sound, but they are brand new and have never been used. I was wondering if I am still going to get quality sound with these stock speakers….I plan to have the EQ totally leveled out with the Highs, Mids, and Lows all tuned to 0 on the Head unit so there is limited bass coming through the speakers, and then tuning the amp and controlling the sub via the head unit accordingly to get my desired bass level. Do you think I can crank the Versa’s speakers to a loud volume with limited bass and get a nice clean sound? Thanks!

A: heres the better ? why didnt you get the stereo? your gonna have to pay like another $150 just to install your headunit. all new vehicles require a piece which is like 150. trust me i ran into this same problem with my 06 impala. if you could get your normal stereo you could have just bought a $15 line out converter which makes you able to hook up your amp and subs using your back speaker. now which one is better 150 or 15? trust me mine is hooked up with my impala and it sounds just as good as a normal headunit would make it. and you should be able to get clear sound from your speakers no problem.

Q: What do you think about the Nissan Versa?
I’m looking into buying a Nissan Versa, preferably a 2010 model. (I don’t want to splurge on a 2011…)
Obviously I’m not expecting a luxury car, seeing as how even the more souped up models are around the $13K mark. But I can’t find many reviews on any model newer than 2007.
Does anyone have a “review” or any information on a 2010 Nissan Versa? Pro’s; con’s; price; features; etc.
Also, please include information on radios, AC, power windows/doors, etc. I’ve noticed they don’t come on many of the more basic models.

A: Nissan shopping myself. Hated the Versa. Too tiny. Leg room is ok, but it’s a really narrow car. Ton of 2009 & 2008 Sentras available with low miles which people turn in from leases. Available for $11,000 with under 30,000 miles. Have owned two previously. They drive forever. Also, if I read it correctly at the dealership, the Versa hasn’t been rated yet for safety. Test drive it and see how you like it. The 2008 Sentra I’m looking at has cd & can play your ipod, ac, power windows, etc. Wasn’t thrilled about the color or the style, but after driving it, I’m sold!

Q: Anyone ever own a Nissan Versa?
My local dealership is offering stripped down ( not 2010 ) but 2009 Nissan Versas for $6,000. These cars are new with no mileage on them just trying to get them off the lot before getting the 2011’s. I realize that Toyota Corollas, Nissan Sentras, and Hyundai Elantras are better but I drive alot of miles to work and back and I’m a single guy with no kids to worry about alot of room. I have researched this car and find nothing but positive reactions from people who have bought them and test drivers as well. Thanks

A: I have been doing a lot of research on these because I am looking to buy a fuel efficient vehicle for work and want to keep the miles down on my G37. Plus, the 20mpg on premium is killing me.

For some reason, the Versa sedans (the only version available stripped) score very poor in overall reliability. Consumers indicate braking and engine issues and it is scored a ‘well below average’ by Consumer Reports.

That being said, however, paying $6,000 for a brand new car is a steal. You still get the full factory warranty, so if you buy a car that lasts 3 years, $6K is still a good price (about $150 a month payment before taxes).

Where do you live? How many of these are available?
I have been looking at 2000-2002 Toyota Echos for between $4000-$5000 in good condition but if I can get a brand new stripped Versa for $6K, I would jump all over that.

Q: Which car is better to get as my first car?
okay so im thinking of getting my first car but im stuck with these three choices..
2011 nissan Versa hatchback
2011 MAZDA2
or the 2011 Suzki Sx4 sport back
im going to rephrase the…… question, my first new car i have an hyundai elentra but it keeps breaking down. =(

A: MAZDA 2

Q: which sport scar to get?
okay so im thinking to get my first car but im stuck with this three choices..
2011 nissan Versa hatchback
MAZDA2 Touring
or the Suzki Sx4 sport back
sport car not scar sorry for the typo.

A: get the mazda2. The suzuki isn’t very sporty, and the versa is MOST DEFINETELY not sporty. The mazda and nissan are both pretty reliable, but the mazda is much sportier.its a great little car tht gets good fuel mileage and can be fitted with quite a few options for a good price. It’s also small, which is good for parking/maneuvering. I personally would rank them Mazda:1 suzuki 2 nissan 3. Hope I helped and Happy Holidays!

Q: my mom traded in her car for a new one as a downpayment, is there any way she can get her old car back?
Just 2 days ago my mom decided she wanted to trade in her 2005 Jeep Liberty for a 2011 Nissan Versa, because her liberty spent to much money on gas. She talked it out and the liberty was worth only 6,000.00. the Nissan Versa 16,000.00. they did the trade, and now she is thinking of getting the Jeep back, and returning the Nissan, cause she really dosent want to be making monthly payments. Is it possible for her to do that??
we live in california

A: The only way she will get it back is if she goes and buys it back. However, it won’t be $6,000. More like $8,000.

There is no way to cancel the contract on the Versa anyways, so her desire to walk away without monthly payments is not a realistic expectation.

No cooling off period for vehicles.
I don’t understand how she is ok with making monthly payments one day and then not ok with it the next.

EDIT – Since you live in California, you should know the facts about the right to rescind your auto contract. This would involve someone actually coming to your house, explaining the right, and you purchasing that right. If that did not happen, there is no ‘cooling off’ period.
I have to assume it did not happen, or they would have already explained your rights to return the car.

Q: Question about upgrading speakers?
Thanks!

A: The answer to that is yes.

There are basically 4 main parts of the audio spectrum… for simplicity, i will call them bass, midbass, mid and high.

any regular one piece speaker can produce 2 areas of the spectrum at the same time. this means that if you want to get mids and highs out of a speaker, you will be quite successful.
Similar if you want to get midbass and mids, for instance.

The reason for this is that the speaker has to physically move through the air to create the vibrations you hear as soundwaves. bass is a slow movement, while very high pitch would be moving almost 1,000 times as fast. (30hertz for sub woofer lows versus 20k hertz for tweeter highs)

Basically, asking a single cone speaker to move extremely fast while also moving extremely slow is just asking too much. a speaker can only handle a certain frequency range… which is where my 4 divisions come in.

So, on to your installation… you will find that the subwoofer on the amplifier can easily handle the bass and midbass for your small car. This means that your “stock” speakers can take over the job of the mids and highs.

If you have the equalizer set so that your stock speakers are only asked to handle the top portion of the sound spectrum, you will see that they perform surprisingly well. you just have to make sure to keep all the bass out of them. I have done installs like this before and they really rock on a budget.

You can experiment with it, but your settings will likely be something like -10 bass, -5mids +8 treble for the head unit. ((on a scale of +10 to -10)) This will allow the headunit to pump the 50 watts per channel (or whatever) to the door speakers filtered from distortion.

The SUB output on most head units is a separate output channel, so you can normally adjust that individually.

You will see that you get loud, distortion free music with a lot of separation between the lows and highs. Make sure you turn off the “loudness” feature, or at least experiment with it off. Loudness sort of overrides the equalizer function to some extent.

Q: Is your VW breaking down? Please respond if yes or no.?
I’m thinking of buying a 2011 Jetta but I’m worried about the maintenance fees. Could you comment on the reliability of your Volkswagen car?

(Right now I’m also considering the Honda Fit and the Nissan Versa.)

A: The newer the VW the more reliable it will be (the mk4 had a lot of trouble but since your not thinking of getting one..). My 1997 Jetta with the vr6 has been trouble free for me. Like many others have said, VWs need more love (maintenance) than Hondas or Nissans.

Just get it, lower it, and keep it fresh.

Q: How long will delivery of a new Kia sorento?

A: ARe you talking about how long will it take to order one, or how long it takes for the delivery at the dealership, once you sign the paperwork? If you order one it can take up to 3 months since they’re made in Korea. Once you sign the papers, it should take no more than 2 hours for delivery.

Q: how much is a new kia sorento head light?

A: Bulbs are 15 bucks

Q: new kia sorento sx commercial?
it’s on comedy central alot. Its really new and the lyrics go something like:
“something better….. today is gonna be the day…. see the changes right before your eyes”

ONLY ANSWER if you really know what im talking about. its REALLY new, like just this week.

A: I know what you’re talking about! I”m trying to figure it out too! >.<

Q: I’m torn between the new KIA Sorento and ACURA RDX?
Currently in the market for a sporty, SUV, but I have narrowed my decision to these two.

ACURA…Love them, problem though is the pricing with full option. I’m lookin to pay more with FULL OPTIONS + trim around 47K.

With the Sorento on the other hand, I’m looking at little under 34K out the door, this is full option/trim. Not to mention its a AWD. Only problem with the KIA tho…is I’m not sure how reliable they are (never owned one). I’ve test driven this car quite a few times, and I absolutely love it but there is that little doubt.

Any recommendations? Please RDX/Sorento owners, your opinions are more then welcomed!!!!

A: get the kia. with the acura, you are paying more just for the name. not worth it. the kia is a very reliable vehicle. i work on them all day and the acura is just an over-priced honda.

Q: How much does a new headlight for a 2004 kia sorento cost?
not just the bulb but the whole enitre headlight

A: its called a headlamp assembly.

129us

Q: Im am going to be getting an SUV. what do you think about the new 2007 Kia Sorento. I think they look classy.?

A: Kia has somewhat of a bad rep partly because their small economy cars sell at such a low price. In fact for a long time the cheapest new car available in the US market was a Kia before Chevy came out with the Aveo. Although the ‘cheap’ image of the brand has been hard to shake, Kia has been steadily climbing up the charts in SAFETY and RELIABILITY.

For example, their minivan the Sedona has received the ranking as the safest minivan that was EVER TESTED since they started doing crash tests. The car that you’re interested in, the Sorento, has received a 5-star crash test rating in all catagories by the NHTSA. In fact, with all of the safety features it boasts such as five airbags, Electronic Stability Control and Traction Control System, the Sorento is one of the safest vehicles out there.

For reliability, look at the latest results from this massive study they did on cars up to 8 years old in the UK and US:

http://motoring.reuters.co.uk/reuters/vocmain.jsp?lnk=101&id=2078&desc=Mazda%20tops%20comprehensive%20reliability%20survey

Not bad don’t you think?

Kia’s motto is ‘the power to surprise’. Owners are pleasantly surprised at just how much car they actually get for the money that they spend. Personally I really like the Sorento, if I ever get an SUV in the near future I would get it. If you live where it snows, the 4 wheel drive version is recommended.

Q: What’s that new song that comes out in the Kia Sorento commercial?
it goes like…”How you like me now?”

A: How You Like Me Now by The Heavy

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sVzvRsl4rEM

Q: HOW MUCH WILL A NEW ENGINE FOR A 2006 KIA SORENTO COST ME?

A: Do you mean a brand new engine from the factory (will be very very expensive) or a good low mileage used replacement engine. If it is the later, then about $2,000 to $3,000 depending on mileage and location (take a look at the link below). You could try craigslist to see if someone is parting out a Sorento (or a similar model that used the same engine), but late model cars will be hard to find – if at all. The 3.5L Sigma V6 was also used by various other Kia and Hyundai models. Take a look at the last link for a list of models that used this engine.

Q: Gonna buy a new car…Can’t decide between ‘10 Honda CR-V loaded, ‘10 Honda Element,or ‘11 Kia Sorento loaded?
ANY advice/insight would be helpful.

A: While Kia have improved immensley over what they were years ago, they still aren’t up to the reliability and resale value of Honda. The Element is more of a specialty vehilcle while the CR-V has wider appeal. My preference is the CR-V.

What I have alway liked about Honda is they all come loaded. There are no options. You decide what features you want and then select the trim level that has those features.

Q: how much does a new motor cost for a 2008 kia sorento?

A: what about the 7 years Kia warranty?

Q: Anyone else won a KIA Sorento & 550k pounds?
I received an email from a Mr. Denise Littleton: agent_denise06@yahoo.co.uk telling me that I had won a brand new KIA Sorrento and 550,000 pounds. Has anyone else received a similar message … I am concerned this is a hoax!?

A: Of course it is a hoax. Never listen to e-mails that are too good to be true. If it was that good, they would have probably called you or came to your home.

Q: does the transfer case of the 2003 Kia Sorento EX have torque-on-demand? or no torque-on-demand?
I need to buy a new transfer case for my Kia and I am fixing it myself. But when I called to order the transfer case, they asked if it had torque-on-demand, I tried searching the model online but came up with nothing, does anybody know? Thanks.

A: All 4WD Sorentos used the same transfer-case, so yes it does have torque-on-demand.

Q: Honda odyssey 2009 or Kia sorento 2009 to buy as family car.?
My husband wants to buy the Honda Odyssey and there is not question that it is a better car. But the Kia will reduce our car payments by 200 dollars a month. Please tell me the long term and major differences or between the cars. Also the Kia does have a 10 yr warranty. My husband can’t make up his mind. He keeps asking me, But the only thing i know is that Honda is a better car but i don’t want him to take on finical responsibility we can’t afford. We have never bought a new car before and we have a 3 yr old and 9 month old so we need something bigger and dependable. Also ur input on buying a used Honda rather than a new Kia also, Any suggestion will help thanx in advance,

A: the Kia is good deal for a lot less money than the Honda.

the only thing that’s not great is that unless you drive with a light foot it will not get great mpg. but the V6 power is nice to have.

I also suggest you take a look at the Kia Rondo it’s an excellent vehicle and is available with 7 passenger seating.

http://autos.msn.com/research/vip/default.aspx?state=new&make=Kia&model=Rondo

the Honda is not that great when you consider you can get an alternative for $5k to $10,000 less.

Q: does anyone know how to program the keyless entry remote for a 2006 KIA Sorento?
if anyone out there can help me, that would be great. I know I can probably find the instructions on ebay, but I just bought the new remote. I’m hoping someone knows how to do this and can help a single mom save some money….:)

A: i think you hold all the buttons at the same time until the headlights flash

Q: 2004 KIA Sorento sensor help?
Found out our Sorento needs a new TPS Throttle Position Sensor. Anyone know how to replace it and where it is located on the Kia? My husband is familiar with working on cars but has never worked on Kias or worked with sensors. Any websites with videos or diagrams would also be helpful…..THANKS ANSWER COMMUNITY!

A: Pull the cover off the engine and im thinking 10mm bolts and it is too the left side of the injection or right.

A: According to Edmunds, MSRP (without NAV) is 28,105 including destination, invoice is 25,544, and the average price paid is 27,815.

Of course the average takes into consideration all the people that don’t know how to negotiate a good price and are overpaying, so you should definitely be well under the average.

http://www.edmunds.com/new/2011/honda/accord/101356495/optionsresults.html?action=2

The NAV adds over 2K to the price

http://www.edmunds.com/new/2011/honda/accord/101356495/optionsresults.html?action=2

I would skip the NAV, it’s not worth that much, just buy a Garmin instead.

I would offer them $1000 over invoice – if you are getting one off the lot they’ll take it. Also consider buying a left over 2010, it’s not much different. I have an 08 EX-L – you’ll love this car.

Q: Should I get extended warranty on my new Honda Accord EX V6?
I have had 2 problems with it in the last 2 months — A/C unit failed, CD player jammed. Both were fixed under warranty.

I am considering going back to the dealer and purchasing extended warranty. Will this be a good idea?

A: Probably not. You have a few more years for them to work out the kinks and remember that extended warranties are calculated based on the average value to a customer. In other words, they are designed to be profitable. If the dealer charges you $1000 for the warranty that means that they expect the average customer to get less than $1000 in value from the warranty. Also, extended warranties are often shady and hard to redeem.

Hondas have sterling reputations for quality (no problems with AC or Audio listed in consumer reports) and I would guess that your problems are merely a fluke. I would definitely avoid the extended warranty.

Q: New Honda Accord Burgundy or Black?
I’m purchasing a new honda accord. I can’t choose between the Burgundy and Black. Which color do you suggest of the two? The car will have leather tan interior either way.

A: With a tan interior Burgundy might look better. Also black attracts a a fair amount of heat during the summer months, turning the inside of your car to an oven. Something to consider.

Q: Should I buy a new 2008 Honda Accord EXL or 2008 Honda Civic EXL?
I am undecided about buying these 2 cars. I love the Honda Accord but the Civic gets better gas mileage. Which one should I buy?

A: I had to decide between the 08 Accord and the 08 Civic as well. (i got the Civic)

As far as gas mileage goes, we all know the civic is better on gas. The Civic i have gets about 35mpg average, which is really good. I do mostly highway driving, probably 85% highway, 15% city, so getting about 35mpg is great. Fill ups cost less and on 11 gallons of gas i go as far as my other cars go on around 18 gallons of gas.

As far as looks goes, if your buying the Civic EX-L sedan, then i would just say go with the Accord EX-L. To me, and to many people, the Civic sedan has an awkward looking rear end, and the Accord looks a lot more elegant then the Civic sedan. If you don’t mind getting a coupe, get a Civic coupe! I love the coupe, i get a lot of compliments on it, it looks great. I do like the look of the Accord coupe, but its not worth the price if you ask me. With rising gas prices today, i’d rather save that money for gasoline. I think most people would, and when the Civic EX-L coupe gets better gas mileage and still looks good, why not?

Both are reliable, so in the end it really comes down to what YOU want. Do you want to spend a little more and get less gas mileage, but gain more room. Or do you want to spend less, get better gas mileage, but have less room. If you don’t carry more than 3-4 people around all the time, the Civic should be fine. If your often taking 5 people, you probably want the Accord.

Either one you go for, you can save a little $$$ by knowing the invoice price (the price the dealer paid) for the car.

Civic Coupe Invoice prices:

Honda Accord Sedan Invoice prices:

http://autos.yahoo.com/honda_accord_sedan/

if you know the invoice price of the car, you can get a better deal. I would start with maybe just the invoice price when negotiating with the dealer, if they say no go up $200 or so each time. Try not to go way over it, you know the price the dealer got it for, so don’t let yourself get ripped off!

Good luck on your new car, its a Honda so im sure you’ll love its reliability, Civic or Accord you really can’t go wrong!

Q: i have a new 2007 honda accord that i been driving for a bout 2 and a half years now. recently the brakes star?
i have a new 2007 honda accord that i been driving for a bout 2 and a half years now. recently the brakes started to vibrate a lot when i would step on them. the car is still basically new so i dont know what could be wrong. can someone out there give me any suggestions to what might be wrong?

A: probably slightly warped rotors. If you haven’t had brakes yet, you’re probably due anyway. Usually that vibration can be cured by getting the rotors turned, but sometimes they need to be replaced.

Get it in to a dealer or brake shop soon – you don’t want to drive around with questionable brakes!

Q: See the new HONDA ACCORD ?
Hello there. Have you seen the new Honda Accord ?
And you wonder why our American cars are going down
the tube….. That son of a biscuit is nice ! I mean it is
the best Honda Accord ever made ! It took a page out
of the Hyundai Sonata’s book though. I knew somebody
would, sooner or later. I guess the Koreans are scaring
the Japanese in the auto world. Ya think ? What is
Ford and Chevy gonna do now ? See the new Accord,
and do you like it ? Best answer wins .

A: I love Honda. I have a 2006 Civic. Honda’s are by far the best! I got a Honda motorcycle too, VTX 1300, never fails.

Q: bought a honda accord new in 1999 in sf bayarea and a year later moved to the mountains. never had a smog test
every year i get a sticker from dmv to for license plate but never been required to get a smog test. this is 8 years later. my car is not a hybrid. I thought california smog test laws were strict. now when i sell my car do I have to get a smog test?

A: You should have had to get a smog test after 5 years. You will have to get a smog test to sell it.

Q: New accord euro vs Honda civic sport?
Can the new Honda accord euro sedan (Australian model) be able to beat the Honda civic sport sedan (Australian model), in a 0-100kmh sprint???

A: mmm… SS or GT? i think SS has it all the way!!!! DUDE seriously RICE????

Q: When to get brakes checked/replaced on new Honda Accord?
and do you go to the dealer?

A: Depending on the type and style of driving you do, the original factory brakes on a new Honda should last for at least 40-60K Miles. If they’re wearing out faster than that, then there’s something else wrong with the car that should be checked out.

It’s a fairly simple job to replace brake pads and shoes, and most any place that does car repairs can do a brake job for you.

Q: When is the best time to buy the new 08 Honda Accord sedan?
I am looking to buy a 08 Accord next year and was curious to know when the price will go down some.
thank you.

A: More often than not, most dealers will run “Holiday sales” around President’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor day and during the “Model year end specials” period (which begins in October!!). Try waiting until February, and then visit the dealer on Tuesday afternoon, after President’s Day (I am serious; they will be winding down their sales promotion and will be anxious to make a deal). Good luck!

Q: What are the pros and cons of these two cars the new 09 honda accord coupe and a infinity g35 coupe?
I am not sure if I should buy a infinity g35 coupe or a 09 accord coupe!

A: G35 Coupe!

Depends on what you are looking for in a car. Personally, I would go with the G35.

Q: what should i buy…a nissan altima coupe or a wait until the new honda accord coupe comes out???? o?
should i get a 2008 nissan altima coupe, or wait till the 2008 honda accord coupe comes out?? Im in need of a new car, a coupe which fits my busy lifestyle.Like a Japanese brand car, because they dont brake, and last for ever and love theyre crazy designs! I can only afford a car less than 28 grand…do you guys have any other considerations???
so what should i buy!!!??? please message me if u got something!

A: All cars have things that go wrong with them. Check the recall lists and you will find out that Japanese cars have problems too. Buying a new car is fun, so test drive and shop around.

Q: Why hasn’t the new Honda Jazz and Honda Accord been Euro NCAP tested? Why do Honda’s only recieve 4 star’s?
All the Honda range gets 4 stars, apart from the Legend. Yet, all other manufacturers, get the maximum 5 star rating?

The new Jazz and Accord haven’t been tested?

What’s up with Honda?

A: New Ford Fiesta not rated yet either, they are probably still testing or analysing the results?

As for why Honda only has 4 stars – I don’t think it is a conspiracy! If you compare it to Fiat’s Grande Punto which gets 5 stars, the Jazz does not have the Punto’s side body airbags, and side head airbags, the punto got more points on its seat belt warning and for doing the pole test. I imagine that if Honda have got any sense they will have made the new Jazz and Accord to be at least as good as their competitors!

Q: Should i buy the new honda accord v6 or the new jetta also v6, both with all the iop options?
They seem to amount to same budget. Please don’t respond if you work for either. I’ve owned boh, Honda’s easier to maintain and resell, Jetta’s a sexier drive. And maybe safer?

A: I had a 2000 Passat and loved the ride and interior, but I’ll tell you straight up… the Honda will last longer, cost you less to own and get you a lot more when you sell it.

VWs break down and they’re as expensive as heck to fix.

Looking for a new hyundai santa fe? Visit the automotive resource EcoAutoNinja.com

Q: What do you think of the new 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe?
Anyone who owns one or knows about them. Might buy one.

A: Check if you need SUV or 4 X 4 (not all SUV are 4 X4)

Where I live, China-made SUV (not 4 X 4) are generally cheaper than Korean-made SUV, if you do not need 4 X 4

However, Japanese-made SUV, 4 X 4, may be more fuel-economical for high mileage Owners

Do compare all models available that suits your vicinity/usage to decide

Q: I am going to buy a new Hyundai Santa Fe sticker 24K-pay cash-how much will I have to pay (Discount?)?
I can buy any month or time of the month. I am not rushed. I just want the best deal I can get. I am pretty open on color and options. I would prefer to buy locally.

A: I run a Hyundai dealership and would be more than happy to assist you in getting a good deal. If the vehicle stickers for 24000, then invoice on the vehicle is about 23000. For example, I have a gls that stickers for $24890 & invoice is $23858. I don’t think you’ll have a problem buying it for invoice, but if you own a Hyundai, you’ll also qualify for a owner loyalty rebate in addition to the manufacturers rebate. I’m located in Idaho, and the current rebate is a $1000 and $500 owner loyalty rebate. I hope this helps and good luck!

Q: how many people in santa fe, New Mexico own a hyundai santa fe?

A: About 500 of them…. how would we know.

Q: New 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe trouble accellerating/braking?
I just bought my new 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe 2 weeks ago, and all was well until about 2 days ago. It started acting up when I try to accellerate…it feels as if it is jerking into gear, or more like it is braking on its own. It seem to be straining until I get past 30 MPH, and then it seem to be ok. But then again, soon as I take my foot off the pedal, it is almost like I am applying the brake as the car slows down quickly – instead of coasting to a stop. Almost like a “grabbing” sensation….
Does anyone know what this could be? Its driving me crazy – as the car drove like a dream before this started. I am taking it in on Monday to have it looked at, but I am afraid they won’t understand what I am talking about. This vehicle only had 6 miles on it when I got it…do you think it needs to be tweaked? Could something be majorly wrong? Help!!!?

A: Hard to say if there’s something major wrong, but no question that is not normal at all and you noticed the sudden change. It sounds like an issue with the Transmission or ECU more than anything else. I hope you will post a followup later today if they diagnose the problem, would be interesting to see what they found.

Q: Is it normal for a new 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe to blow blue/black smoke in the morning?
I leased a 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe in June and noticed about a month ago when it started to get cold outside in the morning, it puffed blueish black smoke and now even when the car is warm it smokes. The transmission also stays in first until 30mph and then kicks in hard to second gear. Is that related? The dealer said the smoke is normal since it is a new car and only has 4800 miles and needs to be “broken in” but I don’t believe it. The dealer also said I must be driving the car to hard if the transmission kicks. I feel because I am a woman they are taking advantage of me. My brother advised me to stay away from Hyundai. Should I bring the car to another dealer? Is that normal?

A: You have a book that came with your car stating who to call if the car is not repaired. Look up the numbers and start calling. I have two Hyundai cars and let me tell you the same as the others here, that is not normal with the engine or transmission.
The next time you get a new car, find a better dealer who will fix your car.

Q: opinions of the Hyundai Santa Fe? new or older?
what are your opinions of it? age range from 2003-2006. pros and cons. thanks guys!

A: I just traded in my 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe.

I LOVED THIS “CAR”!

It handled great! I live up north and it would ride over snowbanks with barely a growl!

She was zippy and trust worthy and roomy. If we hadn’t had more kids..I would have kept her! My husband just traded in his 2004 Santa Fe for a sexy little mid life crisis car.

Not only is it a great car..but if you are going to buy it used..you may still qualify for the 100,000 mile 10 year warranty!

Check into it! good luck!

it also has a good trade in value:

http://www.kbb.com/KBB/CompareCars/Default.aspx

and I believe its korean..not japanese

Q: How do I get a new key for a 02 Hyundai Santa Fe?
I do not have a spare key. I only got the one key with the car so what do i have to do to get a new one?

A: My advice is go to the dealer and get one made. It probably does have a chip in it so it has to be programed to you car sadly. It costs about $90 to get a key made for you car. You cant go to lowes or home depot for that key. The cant program it.

Q: Question about folding seats in the new Santa Fe SUV?
one of my relatives is considering a new hyundai santa fe. they test drove one and said it went fine, and they didnt forget to do a thorough walkaround of the car before leaving the showroom. their overall impression of the santa fe was good enough after comparing it to the others. their original plan was to leave the dealer on the first visitation day to sleep on it and think the deal out more thoroughly. now they want to delay the actual purchase for a few months until things get settled. but they regret having forgotten to check out a few things about the car on the visitation day before leaving there. one of the things was to know if the car is able to carry long cargo inside with the trunk door closed (like a ladder). so what they were hoping for was to see that the front passenger’s seat to the right of the driver’s seat folds flat & forward. this feature appears in the smaller Tucson, but not for the santa fe in it’s brochures. for current owners of the newer santa fe, does it??

A: About the Interior & Seats

New Santa Fe is one of the most package-efficient crossover SUVs on the market and presents impressive seating and storage flexibility within the same overall length as Honda Accord Euro.

Hyundai accomplished this by developing an all-new platform that avoids the compromises inherent in typical medium car/SUV platform sharing.

New Santa Fe’s first and second row seats have increased head, leg, and shoulder room with enough room left over to allow a class-leading optional third-row seat design.

The centre row seats are split 60/40 and the backrests not only fold forward almost flat for long loads or sleeping within, but they have 12 rake angle adjustment positions(11 in seven-seater) from vertical—great for carting a big box behind—to quite laid-back.

Maximum in-cabin load length is 2.46m diagonal or 2.18m along the left side behind the left front seat. Maximum cargo width at 1385mm is stocked golf club bag-friendly while Santa Fe’s space between its rear wheel arches is 1160mm, 20mm wider than Territory (in-house measurement). Cargo volume aft of the front seats is a cavernous 2213 litres with 969 litres behind the second row.

To ease access to the third row in the seven-seater, the kerbside 40 percent section of the centre row seats tumble folds forward up off the floor, without requiring head restraint removal or the front seat moved forward.

Hope the infromation was useful to u

Q: Did we get a good deal on our new 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe Limited?
My wife and I just bought a 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe Limited 2WD. The cash price was 38662, we made a 400 dollar downpayment and recieved a 3500 rebate, had a 700 dollar trade in which they added 1000 dollar cash incentive too. This leaves 23062 to pay over 72 months at 7.99% interest at 408.12 a month. Did we get a good deal?
I’m sorry the cash price was 28662, NOT 38662

A: Your interest rate is higher then normal due to the long loan length, you may consider getting a new loan from http://www.eloan.com for your local bank for around 6.5% over 60 months, 72 months is too long to be paying for a car.
You didn’t mention if you had any option packages, but you must have since the base retail price of the Santa Fe Limited FWD is $28,445. Lets assume you got a touring package with a retail of $3100, +$725 freight, – $3500 factory rebate and you get a price of $29,020 prior to any negotiation. So, its sounds like you got the price down to $28662 a discount of only $358, I think you could have gotten it for another $2000 off that price, so it was not a good deal based on the numbers I have listed here as your purchase price and package. Does your cash price include sales tax, in MD that would be $1700 on a vehicle like this.
Bottom line, you paid what you paid and now need to enjoy your new Santa Fe and be happy to know that you got a very nice SUV regardless of what you paid.

Q: Name for my new Silver Santa Fe?
I got a brand new Silver Hyundai Santa Fe. I want a cute name to call it. Any suggestions?

A: silvia
silfee

Q: 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe — Just got new transmission now “Check Engine” light is on?
Ok … I’ve had lots o’ trouble since having my Santa Fe serviced last week. A new transmission was put in and then a new starter the very next day. The starter was put in at the advice of the technician who stated that my starter was bad and needed replaced. Turns out the starter was not the culprit … this I found out when the car wouldn’t start the same night I brought it home from getting a new starter. Upon taking the car back to the dealership and further inspection, the technician found that “wiring to the transmission range selector switch failing intermittantly causing it to look like the starter was failing intermittantly. Necessary to replace 2 terminals in the ranger selector switch and reinstalled the old starter and retest many time and everything check ok at this time.” That was late in the afternoon when I picked up my “fixed” Santa Fe. The very next afternoon driving home from work, the check engine light comes on. I took to AutoZone to get a “heads-up” on the issue beforing returning to the Hyundai Service Center. Code was P0305. My Santa Fe is at the dealership now getting worked on. Does anyone have any ideas on this? Is it something caused by the previous work from this past week?? I am a female and just don’t want to get screwed over.
Oh yes … the AutoZone guy told me it was a misfire in cylinder 5. Hyundai just told me they are not seeing a misfire in cylinder 5 (although they verified this is what the code is for) and are trying to determine the cause of the check engine light.

A: I was right when I told you to take the car back because the cables have not being properly adjusted causing the gear selector not to allow the starter to jump. Now….related to fault code P0305, this indicates a missfire on cylinder #5. What would cause this? Hard to say… a bad spark plug or wire or failed injector. Could this have been caused by the tech that replaced your transmission? Possibly, but hard to say because I can’t see the quality of work he’s done. Best advise is to wait and see what the dealer comes up with. After that you can draw the line and make your judgment.

Q: 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe won’t start after having a new transmission put it …?
My Santa Fe had a new transmission put in this past weekend at a Hyundai dealership service center. When I arrived to pick it up, the service guy said that when he went to move it this morning, it would not start so he needed to put in a new starter; he said that the dashboard lights were lit up but there was no noise when he turned the key. He said they tried to jump it and that did nothing so it was the starter. So they put in a new starter … the car drove well that same day but that night when I went to leave, the same issue happened … it would not start. No noise or anything when I turned the key … all the lights worked … no help when I tried to jump it. Any suggestions??

A: When the dealer put the transmission back in the car did not adjust the shifter cable (for A/T) properly, it would not allow the engine to start. To find out, just try to remove shifter from P to D and then shift it HARD back to P. If it starts, all you have to do is to go back to dealer and have them adjusting the cable. Also, if it doesn’t work, shift in N and see if you can start. It looks like the starter doesn’t engage not because its broken but probably because the shifter lock doesn’t disengage.

Good luck

Q: What are the best tires for my 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe GLS 6V. ? I live in the suburbs of New York.?
I generally drive 55-80 mph with a lot of highway driving. And I am looking to save money. Also, my Santa Fe has 36,000 miles on it.

A: Costco has good prices and will tell you which models are compatible with your car and install tires. We went on a weekend and it was still fast.

Q: 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe Rear window opening?
We have a new 2010 hyundai santa fe. my dad has the 04′, which allows the back hatch window to open with the use of a button underneath the back handle. The new car, we can’t find a button, how do you open it?

A: Read the manual that came with the car. I’m sure if you look you will find your answer.

Q: Do I need mounting brackets to mount new speakers (rear) in my 2004 hyundai santa fe?
I’m trying to install new speakers in my 04 hyundai santa fe. I’m putting in kicker ds600 speakers which are 6 4/3″ like crutchfield says. I pulled out the rear stock speakers and they are 6 3/4″ but theres a square bracket built into the speaker that makes it wider so it can be screwed into the frame. I cant install the new speakers without some kind of bracket to fit the frame. Does anyone know what I need to do or if I need to buy a bracket?

A: Shouldn’t.. The frames are the same between models even, therefore the holes are there no matter what model.. Should just be able to pop off the panel and install.. may need to drill and put self tapping screws in it or find the little frame clamp things that have threads on one side with a screw that goes in it.

Looking for a new ford focus? Visit the automotive resource EcoAutoNinja.com

Q: Should I buy a new Ford Focus or keep my 2002?
My car is still in good shape, low miles (30 k), no mechanical issues, no payment. I am thinking about trading it in for a new Focus because I can still get good trade in value, and before any problems have time to develop in old car. Should I buy one, or maintain the old one?
I have no complaints about my current Focus and will only trade it for a new Focus.

A: Keep your 2002 as long as you can. All cars eventually have maintenance issues. If you can save the money you would spend on a car payment, you are better off.

Q: Trapped your finger in the new Ford Focus door?
I hired a Ford Focus for the day, I only had it 5 minutes and I trapped my finger in the door as I got out of the car. The door seemed to flip shut onto the catch.

I have been driving for 17 years and never done this before, is there a design fault with the new Focus or was this entirely my own fault!

My finger is very badly bruised and swollen.

A: yIKES mud I shall watch out for that.

Q: How many keys are given with a new Ford Focus C-Max (2007)?
I have a 2007 Focus C-Max, and was wondering if I had all the keys, as I’ve heard replacements can be pricey.
So I was wondering how many came with it when new, and what keys were they, I have a Remote key and a plain black key with no buttons. I’ve heard about Ford using a master key system, and don’t want to be caught with my pants down.

A: The Fords come with 2 keys and 2 remotes when they are new.

I’m not sure where you are, but most Fords use a transponder chip system. These keys are expensive. Amazingkeys.com has a bunch of keys, remotes and ignition switches for the Ford Focus. You might check with them for extra keys and remotes.

Q: The new Ford Focus looks like a great deal, do you like yours?
I recently went to the Toronto auto show and found that i really liked this years Ford Focus. The design has changed from 2007 and the sync technology is so cool. I test drove one last weekend and thought that it met all my needs.

A: The Focus has a good reliability score, and gets good mileage. It sounds like you liked the car when you drove it and the price is right. I am having a hard time finding a reason for you not to buy the car.

Q: When exactly is the new Ford Focus out in the uk?
It says February on the Ford site but does anyone know exactly what day?

A: we have one in our show room its already out

Q: I am thinking of buying a NEW car, most likely a Ford Focus, with 18 miles on it can i switch to syntetic oil r?
New Ford Focus. Can i switch to a synthetic oil right away?
Engine only. i want manual trans.
Mechs. & gear heads please respond!

A: I usually change the factory oil to synthetic after I have about 1000 miles on it. But yes you can change it immediately, quite a few manufacturers ship their cars with synthetics, so you’ll be fine if you change it now.

Q: My new Ford Focus ST has only 2 seatbelts in the back. Can I have a new one fitted?
The rear seats are shaped with a raised bit between them. It would be useful sometimes to have the option to carry an extra passenger even if they might be a bit uncomfortable in the middle.

A: the only way to have 3 people in the back of your st with seatbelts
is to fit standard focus seats and belts in the rear
i have fitted some at work the mounts are the same leather seats look ok !!

Q: How do I program my new ford focus car key?
the old ignition broke so I got a new one how do I program the new key.
hey first guy Im programming a new key not an extra D: sorry you will not get best answer

A: You will need to put the vehicle on ford etis computer .

this is because the key is coded to the vehicles modules
if this is not done then the key may turn in the ignition and put the dash lights on but wont start the car

you will need a min of 2 keys and a max of 8 keys to activate the coding system

Q: What is the title of the background song in the new Ford Focus commercial?
It tells the story of two guys going a roadtrip and one pays for gas, and the other for the food.

A: Red Morning Light by Kings of Leon

Q: How much would it cost to lease a new Ford Focus or similar car in NJ?
I have middle-of-the-road credit, and have never owned a vehicle before.
I’m 25, have middle-of-the-road credit, and have never owned a vehicle before. It is for personal use as I take public trans to get to work.

A: Leasing payments are roughly half of loan payments for the same vehicle, same length loan/lease. However, there’s more to leasing than just low payments.

The cost of a lease for a Ford Focus, or any other car depends on the negotiated price of the vehicle, the down payment (if any), the length of the lease, the money factor (interest rate), and the lease-end residual value. The interest rate will depend on your credit score.

If you don’t understand how leasing works, it’s easy to get into trouble. Here’s a web site that might help:

http://www.leaseguide.com/index2.htm

.

Q: How much should I expect to pay for a new Ford Focus (2000) front window?
For some mysterious reason, my front driver’s side window shattered while I was tooling down I-40 in Albuquerque. What can I expect to pay for a replacement?

A: Front windshields are expensive to replace. It could cost you
$200 or more.

Q: can you cange the headunit in a new shape ford focus?
im looking to buy a new shape ford focus (2005 on), but want to be able to put my own aftermarket headunit in it. from pictures it looks like there isn’t a way to take the factory fitted one out. any ideas if it is possible?

A: Absolutely you can do it, and you don’t need any special tools. It’s not very difficult at all. The plastic panel around the radio just pops off. Underneath, the radio is held in place with screws. You can purchase a mounting kit that will allow you to put a single-DIN or double-DIN head unit in this vehicle.

Q: What is the music used or even plaed in the new ford focus advert?
you know the one where its plaed on pieces of the car, I really like it and want it

A: This song was composed for the advert
by the composer Craig Richey
Its called ‘Ode to a Ford’
but if you’re looking for music similar then try “Danse Macabre”

Q: How do I fit a new Ford OS Wing Mirror to a Ford Focus?
How do I fit a new Ford OS Wing Mirror to a Ford Focus? My driver side wing mirror of my 2002 Metropolis Blue Ford Focus has been vandalised so needs to be replaced. It was snapped right off. I have bought a new one from a dismantlers which is just in primer and comes with all the fixings. Is this easy enough for my partner to fit to the car? If so what is the best method? How do I go about getting the wing mirror sprayed? Is it possible to buy the paint and lacquer and get my partner to do this or should I get it done professionally? Any advice would be great. Thanks!

A: Very easy, the interior trim just pops off with a flat screw driver carefull not to damage it, then there are 3 nuts undo these and there you go just take it off and replace.
A far as the spraying i would get a paint shop to do it they won’t charge much, or look for a local chips away type person they will come to your home and paint it.

Q: How cheap can i get the new ford focus st3 2008 (new facelift one)for?
whats the cheapist i can get it for? and where from thank people god bless xx

A: not cheap!!!!!

lol =P
